Xinhua News Agency, Hangzhou, September 21 - At 3:12 a.m. on September 21, a Boeing 777F freighter fully loaded with Chinese-made products took off from Jiaxing Nanhu Airport, bound for Luxembourg. This marked the official launch of China Post's independently operated intercontinental all-cargo route between Jiaxing and Luxembourg.
The route is operated by China Postal Airlines, with a maximum payload capacity of 84 tonnes per flight. Initially, two flights per week are planned. Once regular operations are established, the route is expected to handle more than 12,000 tonnes of import and export cargo annually. It will significantly shorten cross-border logistics transit times from Zhejiang Province and the wider Yangtze River Delta region to Europe, while effectively reducing overall transportation costs.
The route is reportedly a key initiative by China Post to improve its domestic and international air cargo network and optimize its logistics network in the Yangtze River Delta. Its stable operation will further strengthen the major air logistics corridor connecting China with the heart of Europe, providing reliable and efficient air freight support for the development of cross-border e-commerce between China and Europe and for greater connectivity in bilateral trade and economic relations.
