Civil Aviation Resources Network May 25, 2025: At 9:19 on May 25, the MU5247 Shanghai Hongqiao-Xiamen Gaoqi flight operated by the C919 domestic large aircraft successfully arrived at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport with 148 passengers, slowly passed through the water gate ceremony symbolizing the highest etiquette of civil aviation, completed the first flight of the C919 domestic large aircraft in Xiamen, and officially opened the commercial operation of the C919 Shanghai=Xiamen route.
Since May 25, the domestic large aircraft C919 has been operating on the Xiamen-Shanghai Express on a regular basis, with one round trip per day. The outbound flight number is MU5247, taking off from Shanghai Hongqiao at 07:50 and arriving in Xiamen at 09:55; the return flight number is MU5248, taking off from Xiamen at 10:55 and arriving in Shanghai Hongqiao at 12:55. This golden time arrangement can fully meet the round-trip needs of business travelers on the same day and significantly improve the travel efficiency between the two places.
In order to welcome the first arrival of the C919 domestic large aircraft in Xiamen, China Eastern Airlines and Xiamen Airport made careful plans and preparations and formulated special security plans in advance. On the flight, passengers were specially prepared with commemorative boarding passes and customized cultural and creative products for the first flight. As of May 25, 2025, 14 high-quality routes have been operated, including Shanghai Hongqiao-Chengdu Tianfu, Shanghai Hongqiao-Beijing Daxing, Shanghai Hongqiao-Beijing Capital, Shanghai Hongqiao-Xi'an, Shanghai Hongqiao-Guangzhou, Beijing Daxing-Xi'an, Shanghai Hongqiao-Taiyuan, Shanghai Hongqiao-Chongqing, Shanghai Hongqiao-Wuhan, Shanghai Hongqiao-Hong Kong, Shanghai Hongqiao-Shenyang, Xi'an-Guangzhou, Shanghai Hongqiao-Shenzhen, and Shanghai Hongqiao-Xiamen, reaching 12 cities, forming a commercial operation pattern of "East-West Connection and North-South Linkage".
