On November 29, 2025, Haikou Meilan International Airport (hereinafter referred to as Meilan Airport), under Hainan Holdings, officially resumed its Macau route. Operated by Hainan Airlines using Boeing 737 aircraft, the route is scheduled to operate once a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Departing flight HU7935 is scheduled to depart from Haikou at 19:30 Beijing time and arrive at Macau International Airport at 20:45; arriving flight HU7936 is scheduled to depart from Macau International Airport at 21:45 Beijing time and arrive in Haikou at 23:15. By the end of the year, Meilan Airport is expected to launch international routes to Seoul (South Korea), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), and Hanoi (Vietnam), building a more accessible "air Silk Road" for the Hainan Free Trade Port's global connectivity and boosting regional economic and cultural exchange and opening-up.
Meilan Airport warmly reminds passengers: Passengers taking international and regional connecting flights can log in to the "Haikou Meilan Airport" WeChat mini-program to receive a 60 RMB/100 RMB voucher for designated merchant dining or a free one-night stay voucher at Meilan Airport Hotel, depending on their different transit times. Passengers whose registered residence is not in Haikou City can also enjoy the same benefits when taking international and regional outbound flights from Meilan Airport.
