Basic requirements for container cargo assembly
(1) Place the container or pallet that has been inspected for seaworthiness on a pallet or other platform equipment with a roller device.
(2) Debris, snow, water, etc. on the pallet or in the container should be removed, and the pallet and container should be kept clean and tidy.
(3) Check the goods to be loaded and understand the special requirements for loading various types of goods. Fragile goods must be properly packaged and protected before packing. Design the cargo assembly plan based on the unloading station, weight, volume, packaging materials and cargo transportation requirements of the cargo.
• Generally, large and heavy goods are loaded on pallets, while smaller and lighter goods are loaded in containers.
• When assembling, goods with larger volume or weight should be placed on the bottom layer and stacked as much as possible toward the center of the container. Small items and light goods should be placed in the middle. Lightweight goods and delicate and fragile goods should be placed on the top layer.
• Stack goods reasonably so that large ones do not overwhelm small ones, heavy ones do not overwhelm light ones, and wooden or iron boxes do not overwhelm cartons.
• Dangerous goods or cargo with special shapes that may endanger the safety of the aircraft should be secured. The container can be stuffed with fillers or tied with ropes or straps to prevent damage to equipment and aircraft and cause accidents.
• Cargoes from the same unloading station should be loaded on the same ULD.
• A consignment of goods should be packed on one ULD as much as possible and avoid being scattered on multiple ULDs.
• Goods transported through interline transfers should be loaded onto one container.
• The maximum loading height in the lower cargo compartment of wide-body aircraft is 163 cm in any case.
• After the goods are assembled, fill in the cargo weight sheet and container tag based on the relevant weight data.
• Assembly of dangerous goods by the shipper or sales agent is strictly prohibited.
