[Civil Aviation Affairs] On July 16, 2025, a batch of clothing and fabrics from Shenzhen boarded the domestic C909 aircraft and flew from Urumqi Tianshan International Airport to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The opening of this route marks the official opening of a long-term and stable cargo commercial operation mode for C909 cargo aircraft in Xinjiang.
This route is planned to be operated every Wednesday and Friday, and the export goods are clothing, fabrics, daily necessities, etc. It is the second cargo route from Xinjiang to the "Belt and Road" countries opened by the C909 aircraft after the first flight from Yining to Tashkent in June 2024. It is the 12th international cargo charter route opened by Xinjiang Airport in 2025 and the 10th international cargo charter route opened by Urumqi International Airport.
As a derivative model of domestic regional aircraft, the C909 cargo aircraft has the advantages of short and narrow runway take-off and landing, and strong adaptability to high altitude and plateaus. The opening of this international route is an important measure for Xinjiang Airport Group to implement the consensus of the China-Central Asia Summit, and it is also an important milestone for domestic commercial aircraft to expand the international market, providing a new choice for the global aviation market.
In the past two years, Xinjiang Airport Group Tianyi Logistics Company has continued to exert its strength in the international cargo market. So far, it has guaranteed 2,792 international cargo charter flights and 51,600 tons of cargo, an increase of 6.8 and 7.4 times year-on-year, respectively. In the future, Xinjiang Airport will continue to firmly grasp the major opportunities of the construction of the core area of the "Belt and Road", and build more air bridges connecting the world with a more open attitude, a more complete network, and more intelligent services, injecting strong "Xinjiang aviation momentum" into the interconnection and common prosperity between China and Central Asia, Europe and even the world.
