
According to China Railway 18th Bureau Group, the main structure of Hangar Hall 1 of the China Eastern Airlines International Aviation Maintenance Service Platform project, Asia's largest hangar, has been completed, marking significant progress.
The China Eastern Airlines International Aviation Maintenance Service Platform project, located in the Shanghai Large Aircraft Industrial Park, has a total construction area of 113,000 square meters and primarily comprises the construction of 11 new units, including Hangar 1 and Hangar 2, an aircraft material hangar, and an accessory repair center, as well as supporting outdoor projects. Hangar 1, the project's core maintenance facility, boasts a roof span of 313.5 meters and a depth of 140.35 meters, making it the largest hangar hall in Asia and capable of simultaneously accommodating nine Airbus A380 wide-body aircraft for maintenance.

Once completed, the project will provide domestic and international aviation clients with high-quality, comprehensive wide-body aircraft fuselage maintenance, modification, and in-depth accessory repair services, playing a significant role in Shanghai's development into a comprehensive gateway and integrated international aviation hub.
